Don't know if I've ever been more wrong about a signing than this one.
Tanev has been outstanding in Calgary. Just a tremendous addition. He's fully reverted to his peak Vancouver form and it's been a joy to watch. He is one of the steadiest players I've ever seen and I don't think it's that much of a reach to call him a No. 1 defenceman, even if he's not the most productive guy.
