Tkachuk will garner interest even with the price tag. He is a unique skill set, while playing both ends of the ice. Just seems like determined misery some times.
I get it. Flames fans are used to disillusionment but this team is a good Center and a good right winger away from being as good as anyone. Not to mention we have the assets to aquire both of those without gutting the pool or roster.
Far as I’m concerned both Tkachuk and Monny are gone at trade deadline and Johnny stays. We need a Horvat/Hertl/kahdri level second line center and a winger and the entire dynamic of the team changes.

You honestly believe Treliving will break up one of, if not the best line in the league at the trade deadline? This is the last season of Treliving’s wide open window.
I think he adds like he’s never added before and goes absolutely all in on this season. Tre’s legacy is essentially on the line here and he’s going to desperately want to make something out of his time here. Endless first round exits and middling finishes is not the legacy he wants to be remembered for.
I think Treliving ultimately ends up adding a forward or 2 and a Dman for his Cup run. I don’t think he trades anyone important off the team unless it’s for salary cap purposes.
