I want to add travel as well.
Today if the first time in lime 3ish years I've been off Cape Breton Island.
Just in Halifax for the night as my wife has a doctor's appointment tomorrow. While she's doing an online class in the hotel, I went for a walk to see how downtown Halifax has changed since I was here last in the sumer of 2019 I think... and essentially comparing it to when I lived here.
Oh man, seeing a different city, different buildings, the changes, it's inspiring. It was like a weight wa shifted off my shoulders I didn't know I had.
It was cathartic walking around in -10°C (feels like -17°C) weather just seeing new places, new buildings, new things.
I'm having a pint in a pub I haven't been in since 2005/2006?
My wife and I literally high five crossing the Canso Causeway as we were feeling trapped due to COVID.
Split Crow man, I needed this. I had no idea how much.
See a new city, see an old city that's changed, new walls, it's amazing... I forgot how much.
