Dude has been run out of town by his last 3 teams.
He is the NHL embodiment of the old saying:
If you meet a jerk in the morning, you met a jerk.
If you meet nothing but jerks all day, you're probably the jerk.
So you've got a guy who's teammates and team execs don't want him around, enough so that that they're willing to potentially pay him out to get him out of there.
Is his wife a psycho? Sure maybe. But there's another person who dislikes him so much they are willing to go to pretty great lengths to hurt him. Not likely he's completely innocent in that situation.
But on the flip side of that, let's say she is just psycho and being cruel for no reason, that doesn't exactly set the bar very high for EK to get sole custody of their daughter. Lesser of 2 evils isn't exactly a stunning endorsement of one's character.
But yeah, Evander Kane seems like a nice guy who just happens to have terrible luck and just so happens to be interacting with people who have it out for him for no reason, and we are all racist for thinking he might be the problem.
