Not an expert either, but at the moment, they have about $6.6 million sitting on LTIR and were already about $1.6 million into spending above the cap.
I am probably wrong, but wouldn't that mean that they can still keep spending about $5 million over the cap?
Klefbolm and Archibald are not coming back this season, but $2.2 million comes off of the LTIR when Smith comes back. Still, should be just enough room to have Kane and not have to make any moves (I think).
Of course, things pro-rate over the season, and so on... so it is just a rough guess.
