It is playoffs or layoffs for him and as such he cannot worry about the long game with this team right now. Human nature to look out for #1 and all that. It would be pretty difficult to see this club as a PO team without Gaudreau this year. Or Tkachuk for that matter.

I agree with you as well, those two have been so fun to watch this season. Just wish I wasn’t thinking contract every time they have a good game
