Personally, I think they were gonna play well regardless. They were almost as good to finish off last season and there was nothing left to play for in that Vancouver series. I just think they’re both super competitive. They want to make a difference every game, every shift, every play.
If Treliving didn’t want to rush things, then, well, he did a bang up job because he’s got a tough offseason ahead of him with Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Mangiapane and now Kylington to deal with on top of trying to improve the team. He’s gonna get no sleep at all this summer.
