bipartisanship was always the wrong horse to bet on. Republicans are way better organised when it comes to these things, and them breaking the party line for important issues was never a realistic scenario. Failing to bring Sinema and Manchin into line is the real issue. If you have a 50/50 senate with the VP as the tie breaker, you really don't need to reach across the aisle, you just have to make sure your own people are in lockstep. Republicans seem to never have an issue with this like the Democrats do with Sinema and Manchin.
