So I didn't even know the NHL tracks this but they do have stats for percentage of PP time played for your team. And it's pretty telling. Alex Ovechkin leads the way by playing 95.9% of the time(haha this is hilarious and checks out). Then the Oilers take control with Drai, Mavi, and RNH coming in at 88.4, 86.2, and 85.4 respectively. The next closest is Kane at 78% and then it starts to drop off quickly. Even in Ovi and Kane's case the next teammate is significantly behind so that's just a top player trying to stay out and produce. Not a whole unit. Calgary's top player is Tkachuk at 61% followed by Johnny at 60 for some perspective. So the Oilers trio get almost 50% more of their teams PP time than the Flames top line. It's just ludicrous and hilarious. That team is so bad.
