I think paying him and Johnny the same makes sense. They are the best players on the team. Both are dynamic offensive players with Johnny having higher scoring potential hit Tkachuk brings those other key elements.
Give them the same deal, give Chucky the C and hope you can put good players around them to win over the next 8 years.

i see what Brady signed for and gave Matty the bump for being better.
also, i'm not sure he gets more in free agency and we can offer the extra year
