They gave way too much space to Bouchard. As in, backed away, which gives him much more to shoot at, as opposed to when you're within a few feet. Being closer to the carrier also pressures them into making a decision faster.
Really did the collapsed box thing and I don't think its effective. Our generally strong penalty killing has always been built around aggressiveness and limiting time and space. There was very little of that once the Oilers were set up. Hopefully they adjust their approach in future meetings after noting how poorly that strategy worked here.
