Gay, 23, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. local time and booked at the Johnson County Jail. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was released Thursday after posting $1,000 bond and is due back in court on March 2, per the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
Gay is alleged to have caused criminal damage of less than $1,000. Per a District Court of Johnson County affidavit, the damaged property included a vacuum cleaner, a wall and door frame. The class B non-person misdemeanor "constitutes a domestic violence offense," per the affidavit.
Hate to say it...but domestic violence and Chiefs players have a bit of history here. Hopefully this get's a bit of attention and they can do something for Gay to get him to change this behavior before it gets to the point where he tries damaging more than property. Might be the type of thing that authorities would turn a blind eye to in the past only to have it eventually manifest into something worse.

No big deal according to Andy.

"I decided he would play,'' Reid said. "I'm not going to get into the conversations [with Gay]. I decided that after hearing just some of the information there.''
