I can't speak for the luxury brands but the chip shortage is are the primary reason the current state the north American automakers are in. Now we may never get back to where there are 300 F-150 trucks on the lot to choose from, however when you have GM not producing GMC Duramax, that will sell at full MSRP, unincentivized, it's not because they are selling them. They are losing out on millions upon millions.
