Except that the Cowboys have made the playoffs somewhat regularly this Century. Just saw that they've had the most playoff appearances without making a Conference title game now with 11.
Hard to find a NHL comparable as you need a hyped team who always fall short in the playoffs. In Calgary, people get tricked into thinking the Leafs and Oilers are the only two hyped teams in the league. I'd say the Cowboys are maybe more like the Colorado Avalanche.
