But that was kind of the issue - Huberdeau plays on their second line and needed a centre because Barkov always had his wingers.
Here, Bennett was not displacing Monahan when the Gatoraid line was going, and then Lindholm and Gaudreau clicked as well. People here think he should have but that’s a coaching decision that just made no sense - those lines were performing really well, and you’re going to remove the centre to see if Bennett can click? And of course, there wan’t any playmaker like Huberdeau on the second line. It was just a really bad fit.
