So, I was curious when was the last time we made a trade that involved shipping out a roster player for a roster player. I believe what some people call a hockey trade. Only to find out it was Neal for Lucic. That was back in 2019. This trade was more a convenience of removing a signing mistake and hopefully the player they got back was not as bad as the player being sent out. Obviously, Calgary won that trade. Of course, there is the Hamilton trade for Hanifin and Lindholm, and like the Lucic trade completed in the off season.

More to the point I wonder what the chances are we will see a player for player trade? it looks like it is hard for the Flames to make these types of trades at all and next to impossible during the season. What would be everyone guess of a player for player swap before the NHL trade deadline 10%, 40%, 75%? Judging from what I seen it looks like 10% which is kind of disappointing to me as it would be awesome to see.
