I think it more likely works the other way - winning teams will be happy enough even if there is some tension below the surface. Look at CHI with Toews/Keith.


Kane and losing have been synonymous (like Hall, ROR, Jokinen)

ATL/WPG were bad before him, bad with him (just 1 playoffs - swept in his final year), and bad for 2 more years after he left.

BUF were bad before him, with him, and after him.

SJ was good before him, good for his first 1.25 years, and now bad. The suck started as soon as Pavelski left (who found himself in the finals with DAL that year). Thornton left 1 year later. Karlsson was there for 1 good season. The only math we can sure of is that Joes>EKs


I wouldn't touch him, but winning cures a lot of ailments.
