So I was thinking about this.
Kane would effectively be playing 'for free' as whatever earnings he manages would be assumed by creditors, child support, alimony, etc.
And he is now on the wrong side of 30 for a Professional Athlete.
Maybe he doesnt want to play anymore? He's not going to get to keep his money anyways (unless he goes to Russia) so why put himself through the struggle?
He'll never make enough money to come out the other side with any, he's already going bankrupt and getting divorced.
He could honestly be better off cooling his heels in his mom's basement in Vancouver collecting EI.
