I'm definitely back and forth on this one. Terrible, dumpster-fire of a human and the recent vaccine stuff really pisses me off. But he would fill a pretty big gap on the team and would put up points which we definitely need and cheap, free assets don't come up often.
I don't think he'll ever change but maybe with all the nonsense the past year he realizes that damn, this is my last chance. So he'll still be a douchbag but maybe he can muffle that for a few months cause he knows he needs the contract. Like just sit in the corner and shut up, go out and play hockey how the coach says.
First and foremost I would be asking the players. Have a candid conversation and if the team is on board with trying it out, then you look for a 1-year contract around a million. If the team says no, it's done. If the team says yes, he comes aboard and it seems to be same toxicity and a problem, he can spend the rest of the year in the press box in Stockton.
