I think the Flames will be fine once they tighten up defensively. It's part of their team identity in a Sutter system.

Play hard, play smart. Get those save percentages back up. There's a strong correlation between the Flames winning and the goalies' save percentages. But a lot of that comes to defense.

We knew that guys like Mangiapane were going to slow down in terms of production.
But the defense can be sustainable if the Flames buckle down. That's why defense wins cups.
