I carry a Swiss Army Spartan pocket knife as an every day carry. I have a spare in my vehicle in case I forget the other one.
Scissors get used a ton for packages and especially for dang hangnails.
It's surprising how often people cannot find their corkscrew or a bottle opener and with this one I have one on hand.
Tweezer and toothpick are useful.
Short and long blade for knife things (and I actually prefer the shorter blade for basic use)

If I were to use this for self defense, I'd throw this thing as a projectile and run. Anyone who thinks a knife is a good defense tool is crazy. I've done enough butchering to know I do not want a memory of hot blood pouring on my hands after a scuffle. That'd be non-stop nightmares for me.
