I think matchups, health, and weather can come into play too. Yesterday was a pretty nice day in Cincinnati for this time of year relatively speaking. Can you throw for 450 yards if it's ice bowl conditions? You might not need that much, but it's tougher to do that if it's cold and windy than if it's nice weather. So what will the weather in KC, Buffalo, Cincinnati or Nashville be like on these given days?
Burrow and Herbert would seem to have the physical attributes to play in any weather. One thing that Burrow does have is that N.C experience, and despite being a second year player, he's not some bright eyed kid as he's only 1 year younger than Mahomes who's going into his 4th playoffs.
Josh Allen didn't have a great line yesterday, but the weather was more of a factor in that game and he still found a way to get points on the board for him team.
The fact that these guys are all looking to need to win 3 games to get to the Superbowl makes it even more random.
