You keep sticking words in my mouth and making disingenuous arguments. But I can play along. Yes, the Flames could dump Monahan’s contract but they’d have to either take on salary to do. No team is just absorbing that contract without divesting some of their own. And no, I wasn’t suggesting the Leafs trade one of their players. Just not paying them as much. And Hyman doesn’t need to be saddled to someone to be productive. The Leafs regular season record is fine. Their post season record isn’t. They missed their window last year and aren’t going very far this year IMO.
