I think most will probably snicker at this but I wouldn’t dismiss this out of hand. Ultimately relationships, in sports or otherwise, are built on trust. I’ll go out on a limb and say not one person on this forum has any insight as to what the relationship between the Flames and Gaudreau is. I will say he seems a lot happier now than he did 2 years ago.
Just speculation on my part but it seems to me Guy Gaudreau and the rest of the family are appreciative of what the Flames have provided to Johnny. If JG is happy and comfortable, why mess with that? He may leave but I doubt it is a decision he makes easily.
