I know people get concerned, you just have to go back to Johnny's last contract to see all the over-the-top comments regarding Johnny and Treliving not having a contract signed. I am thankful that the board's posting has improved as it was unbearable during that last contract. That Gaudreauovertime poster was a very negative catalyst on the forum. Most posters these days, although not always agreeing have matured and are quite rational.

What I find telling is that there is very little noise around this. Of all the reading or podcasts I listen to, no one is talking about Gaudreau’s impending departure. Not even rabble rouser Eric Francis has recently talked about this (admittedly I don’t make a point to listen to his hits or seek his stuff out).
The fact it is relatively quiet suggests to me neither side wants to rock the boat too hard and are probably happy to keep discussions private. The more quiet it is, the better if you’re in the sign Gaudreau camp IMO.
