I realize only now with the potential end of the character hanging in the balance how much I'm invested in the character and don't want to see *good* Dexter end here. Not after waiting 8 years.

The way the season started I wouldn't have minded a swift tidy conclusion, but now that the plot has really picked up steam with an interesting new premise and compelling characters with so many directions they can go in, I'm hesitant.

A 30 episode arc would be adequate without leaving you clamoring for more imo

Edit: Also, anybody think they will circle back to the Billionaire to factor into the ending? In this show things/people aren't usually introduced for no reason or strictly as red herrings.

Maybe killing Kurt leads to the big boss which sets up season 2.

It sounds like Clyde Phillips was being intentionally vague when questioned on whether New Blood would be coming back for a second season, so there's still hope.

I always got the sense that Olsen was just a red herring used to build Audrey's character (and also throw a distraction into who's the big bad, until it was revealed to be Kurt). The only scenes he was in at all were Audrey-related.

-Audrey cusses him outside of the tavern during the protest
-Angela asking for his heli to search for Matt, and him mentioning Audrey's motivations
-Audrey encountering him by chance when her car broke down

Don't see Harrison killing/turning Dexter in. He's just going to be alone again with absolutely no one to talk to about his issues.

So Angela still doesn't have enough to go off on even with the note and surgical screws. She's suspicious but needs actual concrete evidence. Unless they find the matching screw that Kurt gave him in the rubble but think Dexter had it on him when Kane abducted him - and could be passed off as an attempt to frame.

Kurt skipping town has to be more suspicious to her at this point. There is just too much pointing to him. I imagine she'll find his trophy room - and will be able to recognize a lot of faces. Some off of the missing posters on her wall of course, but definitely Molly and Lily. And Molly was a little sus of Dex but he saved her, and was getting major creep vibes from Kurt.
