I think it very likely that had Treliving traded Gaudreau there would be an avalanche of posters complaining Treliving didn’t get enough, or he traded him at the wrong time (low point), or he should have backed up the truck and signed him to whatever Gaudreau would have wanted. I also think it is the same group of people who are complaining about the current situation would have complained about the alternative outcome. Gotta complain about something, right fellas? And as long as the Flames don’t win the cup, then we can fill our boots.
I think there are a lot of posters here who are going to complain no matter what scenario would have or will play out. The way some people talk here you would think Treliving has never thought about the multiple outcomes of the current situation. This assumption that Flames management is being run by a group of imbeciles who are hopelessly lost is absurd.
