Saying he's on a Turris trajectory is premature.
But that's how many CP posters roll. Benefit of the doubt to outside players or ones who have left, and only doubt to current players who are just having some struggles, and in Monahan's case, ones that are definitely justified given the circumstance.

Which outside players am I giving benefit of the doubt to?
Monahan had 1 goal and 4 points in his first 10 games after being pointless in his first 5. Than 1 goal and 5 points in the next 10 and 2 goals and 5 points in his last 9. For me the sample size is not big enough to definitively say he's trending up. In 10 game increments the production is looking pretty consistent. If we could throw out those first 5 games, there really does not appear to be a defining upward trend in production. If anything he is going down again as he had 7 in the first 10 after that 5 game opening stretch and has 7 in the last 14.
To me he looks like a guy struggling to find a role 5 on 5 as when they give him better linemates and more ES time he seems to revert to a guy who gets beat consistently. Put him on the 4th line and they don't have guys who produce much to play him with.
His PP production in terms of points per game would have him on pace for one of his best years of his career to date.
