Switch to a modular or semi modular power supply that has the right connectors. No reason to mess around with an adapter. Plus, as I said above the modular power supplies (or semi modular) are nice because you won't have a bunch of un used cables in your case.

PCs are really not that hard to build these days. I recommend taking a stab yourself. I've done 4 for the kids now, and it's a fun project and the knowledge will help if something goes wrong one day or you want to upgrade.
