The party doesn't "primary" candidates. It's populist movements like the Tea Party that can mobilize support for a challenger in low turn out primary elections. I don't know what grass roots Democrat group could organize a challenge to Manchin.

I agree with putting an end to these massive bills though. These bills are terrible marketing as well and I'm not sure they'd win Biden and the Democrats a whole lot of support if they did pass. They mostly just seem crazy expensive and people don't even have a good idea of what's in them or how it will personally help them.
