On a whim, I went to see Phantom Menace on opening night in LA (layover on a trip from Mexico). It was an experience. Everyone in the theatre was shouting at the screen and cheering. It made that movie better.

Friends and I as a laugh decided to get boozed up and see a midnight showing of Spice World on opening night. Likely really boozed up. Everyone else seemed to have had the same idea. It was a hilarious night at the movies watching that piece of garbage.

But I do agree with you now. I just want complete silence to enjoy the movie. We had cheers in our theatre for No Way Home as well. It was fun the first time but got stale.
