Already done, screen repair guy took off both doors, fitted new rollers on them and greased the tracks on the frame. He showed me where the frame is visibly warped though and there's nothing that can be done to fix it other than a rip & replace
Your $2k cost seems low, was that just for a single sliding door? Mine looks like this with 2 sliding doors, just with all-glass instead of the checkerboard.
