As to why teams don’t just “take that away” from him, I think the reason is two fold.
1. He’s an amazing shooter, and it’s hard to defend that.
2. He can score goals any which way. So if you overload that side, he’ll score on the other side, the slot, or a rebound.
He’s like a cheat code for his team. So all those years of criticism not making it to the East Finals were warranted IMO.
