I'm not calling Google fair and never have. But you keep misrepresenting anyone who opposes you as Google lovers. I hate them. And I still disagree with you on a bunch of points. Are you saying you NEVER use Google products, and if so for how long?
The people of the world made Google the judge and executioner sir, you and I included. Please tell me what could be more democratic than the fact that basically anyone who has performed a web search in the last 20 years has a free choice on which search engine to use. Google didn’t start as an evil giant, it took quite a while to get there. Google started as a Stanford college student project, they developed their algorithm for years and thousands of hours before you ever heard of it. They came up with a revolutionary algorithm that was 10 years ahead of the competition and brought it to the world at large without a large amount of cash. They not only outcompeted existing web giants like Microsoft and AOL, they blew right past them. That’s how they eventually became big enough to start to be evil giants and monopolize. Because their search results are still far better than their competition. They still have over 90% of the market share right now.
A lot of people know how evil they are, but still use them because they have good products. That's a big part of what you seem to be missing. People keep using them despite their flaws because they make good stuff.
I completely respect anyone who has been a long-time small business owner and I’m not trying to downplay any of that. I just think you have terrible takes on the technology side. Really it's so much more complicated than you're posting like here and you certainly have some big misunderstandings about how Google works.
What other companies are you actively campaigning against right now? Because there's a good chance your phone, computer, operating system, contents of your closet and contents of your fridge and pantry are loaded with evil companies too. You just seem hyper-focused on this one evil company, and you seem to think that everyone else should be as concerned as you.
