I'm starting to see Backlund as Charlie Sheen's 'Wild Thing' character from the Major League movies. Only before they make him get a pair of glasses. His passes are a little haphazard, and if someone else passes him the puck, it's as if he only sees it at the last second and tries to react.

I also think that if they want to have some secondary scoring they need to consider reuniting Dube and Mangiapane. They were excellent together early in the season, and were broken up to move Dube away from centre. With Monahan's improved play, a Dube-Monahan-Mangiapane line, and make the third line a traditional shutdown line.
