In the back of my mind I was concerned that the Flames haven't played the best teams yet, and was scared that the hot start was more of a reflection of the weakness of the opposition vs the Flames being a good team. With that in mind I had this game circled on the calendar as a good test. They passed with flying colours IMO.
I felt like Lindholm got caught out playing Aho a bit soft on the GWG, a hard stride or two more and Aho probably doesn't get to the front of the net. I can't put my finger on what the problem is in OT, is it having no Gio or does the team just not have the horses to get it done. 1-6 is not a good look.

Great game, fast paced, and really well played by both teams - no room to move out there.
I thought the Flames were the better team overall, but were guilty of over passing at times - which they tend to do at home, and I believe is the reason they aren't successful at home.
The Canes' PK was incredible. That is as good of a PK as you'll see.
