Disagree. This team to me looks similar to past years. When it comes to 2 point games out of conference they are a top 3 team in the league. When little is on the line there are few teams better than the Calgary Flames. When the games are worth 4 points and more meaningful they are a mediocre team that have issues matching the opposition's desire to win most nights. It's why they played far below their talent level last season which consisted solely of 4 point games.
The difference now is that they play a better structured game under Darryl which keeps them in most games but I know it has to be driving him crazy that they have issues winning in their own division and conference. If he can't get this group to win games when there's more on the line I don't think anyone can.
