Man, pretty awful to watch. I'm no expert and I guess by the book it's legal, he comes straight at him and even trying to look for one, there's no clear elbow and in any other situation it's a good hard check to the chest and effective defence. But if we're talking unsuspecting head shots, that's what this is and the only thing I can say is, Trouba definitely had the choice to take that hit or not plus potentially how hard to pop him.
Again, I don't know the right/wrong/legality so much but just hate to see it and the result appears like it could be devastating.
