Reminds me of beyond.ca back in the day. Another local Calgary forum, that would receive so many legal threats over people leaving bad reviews or sharing their experience on the forum (usually shady car dealers)
Always getting demand letters saying that if the site didn't remove the reviews and give them the personal information of the poster that they'd sue the whole site, usually for libel. The owner of the site got so many of these bogus threats that he made it a site policy that every single one of them would be made public. That didn't make them stop, but the owner was such a stand-up guy that he refused their demands every single time, and the one or two times they did actually get sued he played along the whole time, and always covered legal costs for the poster as well. They ended up profiting off of it both times
