He is an exaggerated 5'10. That is pretty small in hockey. I'd probably guess his real height is 5'9.

Again, it doesn't matter. This arbitrary limit of "two small guys" is just that - arbitrary.
Gourde is 5'9"
Johnson is 5'8"
Point is 5'9"
Kucherov is 5'11 but not as thick as Mangiapane. He's not far off from the same size as Dube.
so again, the idea that you need to be six feet tall to play on a good team is not based in actuality.
Gaudreau and Mangiapane have been two of the best players in Sutter's system, while Monahan and Zadorov are two of the least effective thus far (hopefully Monahan starts playing more like that last game more often). Our best defenseman this year in Sutter's system is also our smallest.
I'm more skeptical of Ruzicka's ability to play at NHL pace than I am Phillips' ability to play at NHL physicality. He's a strong kid with a great motor.
