I still can't get over how we started the season a week later than everyone else, and tonight will only be our third game in the last ten days... yet after the game is done we'll STILL have played two more games than Edmonton has.
In addition, the New York Islanders spent the first six weeks of their season on the road because their new arena wasn't ready yet, but not only have we already played just as many road games as they have, we're starting a whole new four-game road trip tonight.
I'm not one for conspiracies and the like, but it really does feel like someone doesn't like us very much at head office.
When this road trip is done, we'll have played 17 of our first 26 games on the road -- and we weren't waiting for a new arena to open or anything like that. The league just decided to ratify a schedule that had a 9 home - 17 road split for us without any reason for it.
