Kane at $3.5M could simply be bought out/shot to the moon if he doesn’t work out but he is actually the player that the flames need as scoring also gets tougher in the playoffs. Flames could use his size and skill in the top 6.
I would trust Sutter and Lucic to be able to hold the room together and not let him ruin it.

I honestly feel like the teams he's been on to this point have been gongshows that lacked real steady leadership as well and allowed him to run amok. And SJ is where all his issues came to light, so makes sense the players sour on him.
He's still a POS with a lot to answer for as a human as well as a player, but if you have a leadership/coaching group that can deter his stupidity, maybe you can take advantage of the hockey side.
We don't have to praise him, we don't have to approve of his off-ice decisions. We don't have to even like him personally.
But it's a business, and winning wins out. I'd entertain it if he was super cheap. And the moment something goes awry off the ice, you bury/buy the guy out. Short leash situation with no second chances is the how I'd approach it. And I wouldn't entertain it without an honest discussion with the player between him, management, and coaching first either. They have to be convinced he has good intentions for anything to move forward.
