If the Flames get E. Kane, there will be an outcry for about a month. If he produces and doesn’t create drama, I’m sure those outcries will die down. That’s just how human nature works. The narrative then changes to “well he’s doing fine here.”
Kane at $3.5M could simply be bought out/shot to the moon if he doesn’t work out but he is actually the player that the flames need as scoring also gets tougher in the playoffs. Flames could use his size and skill in the top 6.
I would trust Sutter and Lucic to be able to hold the room together and not let him ruin it.
