With an Oasis tribute band. Yikes.

The Tan Hill Inn, a hillside pub in Yorkshire, England, hosted an Oasis tribute band last Friday night. Unbeknownst to dozens of pub-goers, as the night went on, piles of snow as high as one metre blocked the pub’s exits, leading them to be trapped inside for four consecutive days (and counting).

More than 50 patrons, the band members, and seven employees had spent the first night huddled around a warm fire drinking cold beers, ending the night by either sprawling across makeshift beds or cozying up in one of the inn’s rooms.

Added NOASIS on its Facebook page, “We’re very sorry to announce that we are stranded in Yorkshire, snowed in at the venue after last night’s gig at The Tan Hill Inn.”

The inn updated concerned residents through playful Facebook posts showing photos of guests playing pub quizzes, eating roasts, watching movies, singing karaoke , and sleeping on the floor.

The group of 61 strangers reduced to 50 on Monday morning after a snowplow passed through the area, allowing those who were stranded to begin their journey home, she stated.

“The road to Reeth is now open,” Ms. Townsend said in a Facebook post on Monday afternoon, “and we have given a fond farewell to our previously stranded guests.”
