The Atlanta Thrashers had deliberately acquired and marketed African-American players, so there's the possibility Kane witnessed some of the downside. Whether that migrated to Winnipeg with any residual outcome is anyone's guess.
I am not a black person, so I can't relate to the black lived experience in the way Evander Kane has.
