What's the issue? He declared bankruptcy? Why does that matter to anyone?
He is considered to be a bad teammate? What's the evidence?
Jets players practically bullied him out of Winnipeg. He ended up in Buffalo....like who wants to be in Buffalo?
Anyway I don't personally know the guy and he has done nothing to me so as a hockey fan, if he can help the Flames win at $3M per season, I would say the Flames would be stupid not to atleast inquire.

I don't know. Have you seen how much vitriol Theo Fleury gets around here? And he is a Flames legend.
I personally don't think I have said anything mean about him. I hope he sorts his life issues out, but regardless of his skin colour, he seems to bring a lot of negativity these days. DeAngelo is the only other current player that I can think of who is getting another chance while being a grade A doosh. I think it's easier for him to stay out trouble because all he has to do is keep his mouth shut. Kane's issues are a little deeper and include things that made the media question the integrity of the league (gambling, domestic abuse, sexual assault, faking vax passports, etc...).
