@Bleeding Red, belated congrats. I’ve had times where I had a long period between contracts and had similar wonders about getting back into the swing of things. I found I tried to be extra focused the first couple weeks and that helped me get ramped up faster and back into it. The riding a bike analogy seems to apply for the most part. Your job search summary seems very familiar as it is ahem - a process. I feel like every time I landed a new gig it was preceded by that type of cycle. Once you’re getting interviews that often seems to be the tipping point. It can get very annoying though…and then of course once you land a gig you end up getting seemingly numerous calls. Where were those people months ago!?!

I've been on the job for 1 week, and sure enough I received an interview request today.
I felt a little.....happy/apprehensive/FOMO...when I sent the "thanks, but I'm employed now" reply. (Like the meme with the couple and the guy is checking out the girl passing by)

You are right, when it rains, it pours.

Cheers
