Well everyone is coming from a different place on this but some complaints about Cassie have nothing to do with unconscious sexism.
You should give Doris Burke (basketball)a listen. She is a total pro and one of the very best color people in the business IMO. Yeah her voice sounds different than a male but she would never be accused of being monotone or dry. She is sharp, knowledgeable and drops insights and analysis throughout the game.
Honestly I think the bigger issue is that a lot of hockey broadcasters are just not as good as what you find in other sports. For some of these color guys, I really question how much they prepare. The vast majority are former players looking to make some money in retirement.
