simply subtracting one player's contract is not the solution. You still have to consider the salary of that replacement player with
"Trade Monahan and one of Tkachuk/Mangiapane, and you pay for the remainder’s raise + Kylington."
So you end up with the same players we have now minus Monahan & Tkachuk/Mangiapane. How does help us strengthen the team?
