This whole incident should just be a precautionary tale about trying to police when your not the police, or something along those lines.
Kyle put himself in a bad position trying to be a good citizen and protecting property from vandals. Brought an assault rifle to a volatile situation and then had to use it because he ended up in a position where he feared for his life.
The victims thought they were being heroes by trying to take down an active shooter. This is something the right seems to want people to do more of, and in fact were prepared to do that evening as they were 'guarding' property with automatic weapons. Stand up to the bad guys and do what the police aren't.
This kid walking through the crowd with a rifle looked just like any other shooter in how many mass casualty events that happen in this messed up country. He could have just as easily been taken out by someone with more right leaning politics had he been spotted shooting at someone.
People need to learn from this and see that when they decide to take the law into their own hands they create situations where bad things are going to happen. It's just endless blaming left v right and neither side is behaving like adults.
